This festival is going to be amazing. Nothing like it around Nelson /Tasman. Enjoy the range of Land-Water-Air acitivities that are available over the weekend. Be sure to come in your 4 WD vehicle if you're interested in the Tag-a-long tour to Beeby's Knob - Not for the faint hearted! Or stay at the lake and enjoy some retail therapy, have a picnic, enjoy the entertainment or have a go at one of the workshops ( we guarantee no loud music at the lake).
Looking forward to a great day! and bringing the grandchildren to take part in the activities and show that Carrot & Pickles from Christchurch present - they are marvellous!
About the trip to Rainbow Skifield - we are really keen on going but do not have a 4 wheel drive - is there some other way of getting there (other than walking!!!? I don't think so!). And what is the cost (if we do manage to borrow a 4 wheel drive or there is some other form of shuttle transport)?? Mac

Hi there,
In the summer you can go up to Rainbow Skifield in a 2WD vehicle. It's still a windy gravel road and takes about 40mins. from St Arnaud but at least there won't be any snow or ice on the road. There is a $10.00 vehicle fee which is payable when you get up there.
